Coffee Humor to Get You Through 2020

In addition to a good cup of coffee first thing in the morning, we need a few laughs to get our day started. 

Actually, we need both all day long. But especially in the morning. Immediately in the morning. Urgently in the morning.

We know that a lot of you are the exact same way.

So at Fire Dept. Coffee, we do our best to provide you with both coffee and humor. We love making high-quality coffee for coffee lovers everywhere. And we love making you LOL.

If you follow us on social media, you know that we always go for the laugh. It helps that we are surrounded by some of the funniest people we know, including our vice president, Jason Patton, who got internet famous by making hysterical videos on his own Fire Department Chronicles.

And let’s be honest, this year has been — in technical firefighter terms — a giant dumpster fire. 

You know all the reasons why. We don’t have to talk about them right now. In fact, we are here to provide the mental distractions we all need to keep us sane and find a little bit of serenity in this crazy world.

Things haven’t changed for the better quite as fast as any of us had hoped. Firefighters don’t generally work from home, but a lot of Fire Dept. Coffee drinkers have been doing it since March. It’s weird. It’s different. It’s … hard. We get it. So we’re here to help you laugh about it.

Why did I want to grow up again?

Maybe in addition to your regular job, now you’re also a homeschool teacher this fall, trying to coordinate remote learning while your kids play Fortnite instead of doing their online schoolwork. You learn pretty quickly that you’ve got to choose your battles.

We’ve all just got to figure out what works for us. What gets us through the day. For us — and probably you, too — it’s coffee and humor. We consider it “self-care.”

Let’s face it, when we’re tired and cranky, other people don’t want to be around us. Even when we don’t want to be around ourselves, a tall mug of delicious coffee and a few laughs can keep us out of trouble. And we think others appreciate it, too.
